Micro-spicules cause a normal tingling sensation on application that fades within a few minutes. These creams are used in the evening, as a course, starting with two to three applications a week, without an additional exfoliant or retinol on the same evening. The retinol version remains contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding, and requires SPF the next day.
