Vitamin C

Stable vitamin C derivatives (ascorbyl glucoside, MAP, SAP) solve the instability of pure ascorbic acid, at the cost of incomplete and variable skin conversion. Pairs well with vitamin E and ferulic acid for enhanced photoprotection.

How to choose

For sensitive skin or a first experience with vitamin C, a stable derivative (3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid, SAP) is the right starting point: no stinging, no rapid oxidation in the bottle, a gradual effect on radiance. For a dull complexion without marked spots, one serum in the morning under sunscreen is often enough. Do not expect a derivative to match the power of a 15-20% pure acid, but rather a consistency that is easier to keep up. Avoid applying pure vitamin C in the same layer as a copper peptide or retinol; stable derivatives come with fewer constraints.

Pair it with

Complete the routine with our dark spots and dull skin selection, our niacinamide serums, fully compatible with vitamin C, and our Korean SPF sunscreens, essential to preserve the radiance you gain.
