Why we love it

The active ingredient chosen is 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid, a stable derivative of vitamin C: it avoids the instability to air and light of pure L-ascorbic acid, at the cost of a skin conversion into active ascorbic acid that remains partial and gradual — it should not be presented as equivalent in strength to a 15-20% pure acid. It is combined with niacinamide and sea buckthorn fruit water (Hippophae rhamnoides, 20%), naturally rich in vitamin C, without this being a dose of pure vitamin C. Dr.Althea built its reputation on minimalist formulas (fewer than 20 ingredients) developed with Korean dermatologists; this serum applies the same logic to radiance rather than soothing.

How to use it

In the morning, after toner, apply 2 to 3 drops over the whole face before moisturizer. Daily sun protection is still recommended to preserve the radiance achieved. Niacinamide and vitamin C layer without any problem; however, avoid applying it in the same layer as a copper peptide.
